What You Will Do:

  • Assist as needed in the completion of the daily material pulls, returns and staging for all departments.
  • Establish and administer operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and distributing of material to jobsites and keeping warehouse inventory current.
  • Assist with problem packing slips and material sheets completed incorrectly.
  • Assist in maintaining material stock on entire fleet by spot checking vans and by educating employees on the use of material truck stock.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Inspect condition of grounds which includes but is not limited to overseeing sweeping, trash collection, snow removal from sidewalks and building entrances as well as application of ice melt to remove/prevent ice on the parking lot and sidewalks.
  • Repair or outsource maintenance of entire building, report safety hazards.
  • Provide coverage and knowledge for counter sales.
  • Directs salvage of damaged or used material.
  • Responsible for making sure all materials in warehouse are being assigned to a job or returned to a vendor.
  • Assist in other duties and projects as assigned or needed.
  • Keep focused on continuous improvement and keep log and schedule of progress.


What We Need From You:

  • 4 Years' of experience (required)
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid and current driver's license with an insurable driving record
  • Tow Motor, Pallet jack and Lift truck certification or willingness to train for certification.
  • Ability to communicate with customers at the counter and on the telephone.
  • Knowledge of various mechanical trades and material/inventory.
  • Basic understanding of creating Purchase Orders.
  • Respond promptly to customer and coworker needs.
  • Operate mechanical lift or willingness to train.
  • Organized and capable of handling multiple tasks at one time
  • Recognition of the importance of details
  • Basic computer skills / Ability to learn new software programs.
